Easy-maintenance sand filter system with the rugged, quiet-running JW Series pump. Designed for above-ground pool applications ranging from 10,000-26,000 gallon capacity.

Features

  • Corrosion-resistant pump, filter and base. Union-connected pump-to-filter piping of flexible PVC. 3' power cord for electrical hook-up into GFCI circuit.
  • Six model sizes available to accommodate large and small pools (17" or 20" tanks with 3/4, 1 and 1-1/2 HP).
  • Features the quiet-running JW Series pump constructed of glass-reinforced thermoplastic. 5" strainer and vibration-dampening mounts.
  • Insulated motor shaft sleeve for safety.
  • Uniform water distribution through filtration media maximizes efficiency and longer cycle tunes. Replaceable lower laterals and 3/4" drain port.
  • Simple cleaning with top-mounted, 6-position multiport valve selector.
  • -03 models include pool-to-equipment plumbing package of (2)1-1/2" MPT X 1-1/2" hose adapters, (1)1-1/2" MPT clear hose adapters, (2) 6' x 1-1/2" heavy-duty spiral hoses, (4) stainless steel clamps, (1) roll of Teflon tape.
  • Order -04 models if no pool-to-equipment plumbing is required.

Materials and Design
FILTER TANK

• Tank Body
One-piece molded polyethylene -available in 17" or 20" tank diameter. Top opening in tank accepts multi-port valve. Black color for ultraviolet light protection.

VALVE

• 6-position multiport selector valve of fiberglass-reinforced ABS. Valve positions: filter, waste, closed, backwash, recirculate and rinse. Continuous air bleed and 0-60 PSI pressure gauge. 1-1/2" union connections on inlet, outlet and waste port.

MOTOR

• Continuous-duty rated 3/4, 1 or 1-1/2 HP motors suitable for outdoor installation.
• Built-in thermal overload protection.

PLATFORM BASE

High-density black polyethylene.

Internals
PVC center manifold pipe and ABS collector hub for eight ABS slotted collector laterals. Laterals twist out for easy servicing. External drain port for winterizing or sand removal.

FILTER MEDIA

• #20 quartz silica sand .40-.55 mm particle size. 17" tank - 150 lbs., 20" tank -200 lbs.

PUMP

• Exceptionally quiet-running, ideally suited for above-ground applications.

• Rugged thermoplastic construction in the time-proven Dura~Glasê tradition.

• Large capacity 5" trap with easy-open, see-thru lid.

.1-1/2" FPT suction and 1-1/2" union-connected discharge; union-half included.

ELECTRICAL

• Integrated 3' power cord for hookup into 115V/60 Hz GFCI circuit.

MAXIMUM LIMITS

• Working pressure - 40 PSI.

• Continuous water temperature -950F.

OPTIMUM FLOW RATE

• 15 to 25 GPM per sq. ft. of filter area.
